ANYCAPTIONS — MAC INSTALLATION

You need Premiere Pro 25.6 or newer and Creative Cloud Desktop (signed in).
Intel and Apple Silicon Macs are both supported.

INSTALL
1. Save your work and quit all Premiere versions.
2. Double-click "Install Captions.pkg". Follow the steps: Introduction, License
(click Agree), Install. macOS asks for your password or Touch ID.
This installs the effect and the Premiere panel together.
3. Open Premiere. Window > UXP Plugins > AnyCaptions.
Check the version shown in the panel.

SIGNED MAC BUILD
The native effect and both macOS packages are Developer ID signed. The release
ZIP is created only after Apple accepts both packages and their notarization
tickets and Gatekeeper assessments pass. Adobe installs the panel separately.
Fresh-Mac compatibility and Premiere playback still require testing.

IF INSTALLATION FAILS
- Quit every Premiere instance and retry.
- The panel's install log is ~/Library/Logs/Captions Installer/panel-install.log.
- The installer replaces an older copy of the panel with the same version. If that still
fails, open Creative Cloud Desktop > Plugins > Manage plugins, uninstall "AnyCaptions", then run the installer again.
- macOS Installer > Window > Installer Log > Show All Logs has the full details.
- The effect and panel are installed one after the other, not as one transaction.
If the panel step fails, the effect stays installed; fix the cause and run the
  installer again.

UNINSTALL
1. Quit Premiere; double-click "Uninstall Captions.pkg".
2. Creative Cloud Desktop > Plugins > Manage plugins > AnyCaptions
   > ... > Uninstall.
Your projects, saved captions, layers, styles and backups are not removed.
